But how do we navigate it for our kids? Because you can't just simply go, don't do what I did, because that's not going to play out good, is it?

Yeah, well, I mean, we probably would have to do like three days of training to fully explain that.

But for everyone listening, I'll give you the perfect tool.

One of our speakers, her name is Dr.

Crystal Collier, and she wrote the book answering this question.

It's called The Neuro Whereabouts Guide.

And it basically canvases a student's brain journey from birth until 18 years old.

Tell me about the other the other stuff, because you do you still do the kind of party idea or how does that work?

How hard is it to get the likes of, um, Estaba and those players to perform at a high level every week?

Well, it's extremely difficult, Bernard.

A- and I can tell you because I've been firsthand in one of those positions.

You know, uh, the squad doesn't change.

I mean, as I speak now, Rassie's picked 46 guys only for these three tests.

That means that that squad could change significantly for the Rugby Championship and/or the Rugby, uh, Greatest Rivalry Series Um, you know, I remember asking the players that same question in one of the team meetings we had, "Why do you not make these mistakes that you make week in, week out for the Bulls, for the Springboks?" And one of the players openly said, "It's because we get dropped when we're at the Springboks." And, and what he means is out of the test side.

And if you think about it, Bernard, one of the, one of the difficulties and challenges of a provincial coach is if players are continually always drafted into the s- national setup, whether they're playing, injured, not playing, been suspended, uh, playing poorly.

And 12 years later, he's going to be leaving, and you could fill three or four books with the list of names that are gonna want that job.

What is that like?

Yeah, look, I must say, to answer your first question, it, it, uh, probably bittersweet is, you know, when you've coached that team, I know the players, I know how hard they worked.

Um, and you know, it's like I, I almost said to my wife the other day, I said, "The team talk I would give now from outside is we always talk about give me one more chance, or if I could play one more game." You know, ex-players are very, they, every time they hand out the jersey they always talk about, you know, "Geez, I wish I could play one more time." You know, I'm hoping that the Bulls understand that they're not, again, they're not gonna get many more, more opportunities.

That's crazy, 'cause I said that to them, the team talk before last year's final.

"You're not gonna get many more chances to play a final." And here they are a year later back in a final.

So I would think that, you know, the message to those youngsters would be clean, clear, Neil.

They, um, you know, they've gotta take this chance.

How much stronger do you think these, these four sides have the potential to get over the next few years?
