Well, really, facial recognition software is simple.

It compares and matches facial images within a database or on a device.

And this technology is actually... permeates our daily lives.

And it has become something people use to unlock their phones, also to verify their IDs at the airport, and many other benefits to consumers and society.

And there's many different uses of the technology that does this.

And you've got to remember that in all cases, this is making a process that already existed, where identity verification or matching images was required and done manually.

Park, I want to give you an opportunity to respond to that as far as the accuracy issues.

Sure.

Uh, so I grew up in, believe it or not, Chapel Hill, um, which always gets a rise out of people in the agriculture, uh, state fans that always kind of look at you funny, but, um, It was a great place to grow up.

Uh, we weren't in Chapel Hill proper.

We were in the Southern part of Orange County heading towards Chatham.

So it was fairly rural, uh, at that time.

Uh, but it was a great place to grow up, uh, and have good experiences there.

Uh, went to Appalachian state for my undergrad degree, uh, and was political science major.

I know it was established in 1983, but give us a little history or background on why it was established, Jake.
