You lost in the first round, and now it kind of – gathers you guys together as far as trying to get that goal getting back to the conference finals or maybe even playing uh for the cup what are the realistic expectations for you guys do you guys sit around and talk about man we can't settle for anything less than not only making a deep run but bringing this thing back home or when you sometimes when you set it up too high and you don't reach it it kind of you know it makes the locker room a little bit like man we didn't reach that goal so what what are you guys thinking about where do you feel like you need to be

Yeah, I think, I mean, it's not really something that you like sit down and talk with, with the guys, but I think, I mean, everyone in the room has been, you know, either one cups or been far and a lot of us haven't got it done.

So I think, you know, with looking around in the room with the amount of talent and experience that we have now as a group I think every guy in the room should tell you that it's you know if you don't win the Stanley Cup then it's a failure which is good and bad I mean it's tough like a lot of teams are pumped when they make the playoffs and for us it's just like yeah you know that's what we we feel like we belong and then you know it's just taking that next step and and that's what you want you want to be a part of a team and organization that has championship expectations and you know your fans you want your fans to feel the same way too I mean we don't want Anyone here thinking that making the playoffs is good enough or is a success? I think every guy in the room, we've already done that.

We've been there before, and now for us it's all about finally getting the ultimate goal and winning the cup, and no one in the room is going to be pumped unless we do that.

How excited are you to get it going?

Yeah, I'm pumped.

I think, like I said, just having that long of a summer, I feel like...

It's a good sign when you're going downstairs looking at your gear, putting your gear on and stuff and getting excited to get back.
