So what did it look like back in 2017, 2018? I

mean, what did it look like? We could do a whole different podcast about what AI looked like in 2017, 2018, because a lot of the AI was either decision trees dressed up and being called AI and not really AI, decision automation software, which had a lot of credit.

And I'll talk about that in a second.

And then more of the real AI, like Kira Systems, and I think Luminance were probably there at the time, ThoughtRiver.

many of these other kinds of tools that were using machine learning, some reinforcement learning, but it was still highly inaccurate.

So it's a long one for me to frame this, but I'd like to go into this just a little bit.

If those prices go up a substantial amount, anybody in this industry is not going to absorb that themself, it's going to roll down to the customer.

So you still have to be competitive to be able to get work, 'cause there's a lot of competition in my field.

So if it costs me more to purchase the materials, then ultimately, it's gonna cost the consumer more to get it installed.

Even so, he's trying to keep an open mind about tariffs.

I think that if, that if it does what it's supposed to do, I believe we'll have a lot more, uh, of American-made products that are sold by Americans to Americans in America, which is, keeps the money here, keeps the economy going.

But I just don't know how dark it's possibly going to get before that happens.
