32:31
Ugh
32:32
... uh, for our farmers.
32:33
I- it eats into their, their margins.
32:36
Um, and then, and then on the, on the back end, right, so input costs, too high, and then on the back end, they've been dealing with a chaotic trade policy with these tariffs that, again, because my guy just tows the party line every single time, he's voted eight separate times to continue the tariff policy, continuing to abdicate congressional responsibility, um, our farmers have nowhere to sell their soybeans.
33:02
Uh, or the corn markets are shrinking, right? Let's, let's not forget.
33:05
Do a little history lesson here.
33:07
Um, the last time the tariffs were put in place by, by this president, um, China didn't just sit around and go, "Boy, I hope they figure it out in America." They built infrastructure in South America, Brazil famously, um, roads, rails, ports.
34:16
Are you setting goals for yourself every month on how many doors you're knocking on?
7:45
Right.
7:45
Right? Like, "Oh, well, you know, we've gotta make some cuts here and there, and it's too expensive." These, these are our lives.
7:51
These are our towns.
7:52
The- these are our families and our communities that he's tearing apart.
7:55
And, and you're right.
7:56
They've been working on it for a very long time.
7:59
Um, you, you also mentioned OBGYN.
10:43
Ugh
0:17
Uh, why make the jump this year to run for office? What, what compelled you to do it?
0:22
Yeah.
0:22
No, I mean, it's a great question.
0:24
It's a question I get more than any other, honestly.
0:26
Um, I mean, the reality is I grew up in southern Minnesota in a working class family.
0:31
And so a little context there, a little color, my dad was a garbage collector.
0:36
My mom was a meter reader at the gas company, uh, and I have 10 siblings.

5 MINS LATER

5:54
... to talk about your voters.
8:13
Mm-hmm.
8:13
Um, if you talk to folks in Southern Minnesota, whether they're farmers, small business owners, or families, um, the reality is the tariffs have hurt us significantly.
8:23
Uh, for farmers, it's been on the export market side, where we can't sell soybeans anymore, where we have a tough time exporting pork.
8:31
Uh, those are two massive markets for our farmers, and they are saying, "We want markets.
8:35
We don't want checks in the mail." Uh, the tariffs have also driven up the cost of inputs for our farmers.
8:41
Um, so whether it's equipment, whether it's fertilizer, uh, those costs continue to climb, and we have a guy who is deaf to our needs.
8:49
Um, we also see the Iran war as a massive, massive problem where, um, you know, it, it's, it's been diesel now at about 5.60 a gallon in Southern Minnesota.
11:19
Mm
