can catch a lot on one piece of corn yeah that that was the best part so no it's it's awesome and you you got into the game and you uh you're chasing national wide trail you said 10 years on the seven years on national wide trail so where did you kind of cut your first tournament at
12:40
um so actually how it kind of started um was covid uh i i had done okay um in some tournaments leading up to the COVID year.
12:53
I had a couple buddies that were fishing the tour and I got invited to travel with them for the COVID year.
13:01
And I kinda thought this was gonna be a one and done thing for me because the COVID season didn't start till July.
13:07
Back in the day, I was like running a floater at the same time, spreading fertilizer, you know, just starting to build my business, you know, of clients and growers and stuff really good and I couldn't afford to be gone well that year kind of opened it up and gave me a little option you know slower time end of the summer is good for me so I was like this is a one-year deal I'm gonna do it and see what it's all about and you know, I wasn't ready for it.
13:36
I definitely wasn't as experienced as a lot of other people on the tour, but I figured this would walk me into shape pretty quick and make me learn to fish, you know, different ways and different bodies of water other than just my comfortable central North or central Minnesota, Eastern North Dakota bodies.
13:54
So I did that and, and it went really, really well i guess in my i guess i finished like right around mid-pack and most of the tournaments i didn't really have like a tournament experience where you're like going through a tournament and you like you know make good decisions i i kind of ran around a little bit too much i was thinking everybody was smashing them all the time and you know that's not the case and it taught me a lot And I actually fished on, after that year, I was like, I have to do this again.

answer is wrong.
10:34
It's not even, like, a really articulated question, but, like, how would you describe your consistency, and where, where does that come from, and, and where does your mindset and perspective go when it's, uh, when it's not easy out there? Um, like, I just sorta wanna flex on that a little bit.
10:52
Yeah, I guess, man, uh, when I started fishing the NWT, that was, like, the first...
10:59
I mean, I fished some real big walleye tournaments around, um, Minnesota and North Dakota and got lucky and, and won a couple of them.
11:08
And still, when you go out fishing the NWT, it is, it's a different ballgame.
11:14
I mean, it, it's such a, there's a such a big mental side to it.
11:21
And I knew how to get, you know, get bites and, and find fish and stuff like that pretty well when I started, um, on the NWT, but I could never put it together in a tournament.
11:32
Um, and some of my teammates, uh, would go out and, and go to the spots that I found or, or, you know, waypoints or whatever, and they, and they would do well.
