So the way it works, if it's, if it's a construction site, then that happens out of the blue.

Um, the way that happens is I find out, whether it's somebody that's driving by that knows about the birds and they call the zoo because they know now we're involved, and then I call FWC and I say, "Hey, I just found out there's some birds here." So then I go, I confirm that there's nesting.

They confirm that there's nesting, and then we have to tell the owner of that site, "Hey, we're posting this." [laughs] And that's tricky.

But, um, then I now have my own signs that FWC gave me, so I can post the area on my own if it's, like, a construction site, because obviously we wanna have it posted as soon as possible.

Um, if somebody is, like, resistant or not enthusiastic to let you on their property or, you know, work with the birds, what do you tell them to, like, educate them or, like, help them understand what's going on?
