What a cracking game.
0:41
You had to come back again.
0:43
The dream keeps going, the fairy tale, the magic dust, whatever it is, it's working for Carlton.
0:49
Yeah, I can't believe it, to be honest.
0:51
Um, playing finals footy, that's what you do all the, all the pre-season sessions for and all the training.
0:56
So, um, to get over the line tonight was great, but all credit to the Dais.

3:32
So, um, they've been absolutely huge for me.
1:33
Was it everything you thought it was?
1:35
Yeah, it is.
1:36
I used to go out watching Daisy kick the barrels for the Pies.
1:39
I was a big Pies supporter, so Daisy would love that.
1:41
But no, it was amazing, so 90,000 at the G.
1:45
Just goosebumps, really.
1:46
Did you like the wild-card format? Absolutely love it, mate.
4:00
How do you go in the preparation for a game like tonight with how the back end of the season has been? What is it like internally with the group at the
105:14
Are you a big watcher of footy? Do you get the forward scouting done for you, um, in terms of the midfield you're going head-to-head with? Or is that done, you know, a bit like your, your forward scouting guys will tune you in on what you might face when it comes to Melbourne, but are you a watcher of football so you know anyway?
105:31
Yeah, I'm, um, a bit of a watcher of football and we normally do our, um, I do... normally do my individual look at the opposition the day before the game, so that will come tomorrow.
105:39
But, um, we had a bit of a look at Melbourne, Melbourne today as an opposition and, um, we know when they're up and going how good of a side they are and res- we respect them a lot.
105:47
So, and they've got some gun players in Gorney and Kozzie too.
105:50
So, um, we've gotta be, we've gotta be mindful of them as well as, um, the other players on their team, 'cause when they can get on a roll, they can be hard to stop.
106:54
Is, is there a specific drill or a reason why?
106:58
Uh, yeah, it's an interesting one.
107:00
I think, yeah, our skills have probably improved in the second half of the season.

12:24
Know where it's gonna be
12:25
... yeah, know it's, yeah, sort of gonna be.
12:27
Just reading my play was one of my, one of my strengths and, um, and I've...
12:31
Sort of the knock on my juniors was how well they were sort of contributing to scores and so when I got in the AFL, that was a big focus of mine, was, um, sort of trying to focus on leading those possessions into high score involvement games, which, um, at the start of the year were all probably a bit down.
12:45
But as I've grown in confidence, um, they've sort of led to a few scores and that's what I've been trying to sort of focus on in the last 10 weeks.
speaker_4UNKNOWN
12:57
... there's some decent players out there that you're playing with and against, but it hasn't changed with you one bit.
13:03
Yeah.
13:03
It's, yeah, it's just sort of, um, something that is my strength, my game, being able to find the footy and all credit to the coaching staff as well.
158:16
But is it all about just being freed up in the last four games? It's been a joy to watch the way that you guys have worked your way back into this season after it felt like all doom and gloom.
158:28
I'd say that's part of it.
158:30
I think it's more our ability to play four quarters.
158:32
Like, you're not going to beat anyone if you play two quarters of footy at the top level.
158:36
And ever since Vossi's gone, we've been able to lift that sort of four-quarter performances.
158:40
But I've said it numerous times, he built the foundations.
158:43
We're still trying to play that same way under Vossi, but it's just sort of clicked under Fraze, and he built these foundations.
159:47
Do you feel as if that year on the sidelines, Jagger helped you prepare for how you've performed so far this year? Because you've performed to an incredible level for someone who's only played 12 or 13 games of footy.
