When did you realize those voices weren't being heard and that you needed to remedy that?

The whole reason Tiki Voices got started, I started it on my own with my ex-girlfriend, who's one of my best friends right now, queer culture.

It was that first round of just hundreds of anti-trans bills and laws getting passed all over the country all at once.

It was about four years ago.

And I remember thinking, like, oh, my God, this is just an onslaught against my community.

Like, what do I do? I have to do something.

I can't sit here and do nothing because it was making me so angry and so upset.
