Jane and I write contemporary spicy romance.

I have the Eden series, which is out now, and I've just released the fourth and final book in the series called Unleashed by Eden.

So yeah, that's kind of me in a nutshell.

This journey has been such a wild and random journey.

I started writing in COVID, during COVID when we had the lockdowns going on and everyone was stuck at home.

And I started writing as a creative outlet.

Mm-hmm, yeah.

So their lives have always been, uh, tangled and meshed together.

Uh, Carter has some health issues, and without giving away spoilers, um, and he definitely needs to confront his mortality and, uh, confronting his past trauma from his childhood.

And when Violet is hired to shoot Pulson's world tour, they're forced in, back into each other's world.

So the attraction is still there, but so is everything else that they never resolved.

[laughs] I'm gonna ask, was there a favorite scene between Vi and Carter that was, like, your favorite to write?

Um, I think the hotel, um, scene where the conversation where they lay everything out on the table.

Like, I really like that.

How has that shaped the stories you write?

Yeah.

So, um, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at 13, so at a very, a very young age, and, uh, the majority of my life has been, uh, you know, around hospitalizations and surgeries.

Um, and, uh, it's been quite difficult, but I made the decision early on that I really wanted to tell stories that had chronic illness representation within them.

Um, I felt that that was a very important, uh, part for me, because romance, uh, novels helped me when I was in hospital when I was in my 20s.

It really helped me discover, uh, my own femininity, um, and my own desires, um, and explore kinks, um, through that way when I wasn't able to do that in real life.

So, uh, romance and reading was super important for me.
