exposure era is done
7:46
exactly and so it's like it I do.
7:50
I genuinely believe there is a lot of value VidCon brings to speakers.
7:54
You know, regardless of the, it's great to speak at VidCon, I think, you know, and I think there's a lot of other value that VidCon brings apart from speaking.
8:05
It's, you know, and it's that constant thing of like, how can we add value to speakers and creators without, you know, just going, here's a load of money because ultimately that isn't sustainable.
8:16
Yeah.
8:18
So, yes, it is getting harder and harder, you know, especially when there are events paying speakers.

26 MINS LATER

33:58
has to be nobody wants that
0:56
What can we expect from VidCon this year? Maybe things that are different, new, exciting, without giving too much away.
1:03
Yeah, absolutely.
1:04
A real big thing that we are focusing on this year is, is really looking at how we can increase the experience, um, not just for our attendees, but our speakers and our creators.
1:13
So, you know, as VidCon, we've taken a lot of time over the last kinda six months to evaluate, um, and, and implement fun, new, exciting, um, opportunities.
1:24
So a big thing for us that we are kind of leading with this year is connection.
1:28
How do we, as VidCon, facilitate that connection on site? For all our, um, four different types of attendees that come to the event, that kind of looks slightly different.
1:37
So from kind of a fan perspective, we're really investing in what that fan experience looks like.

10 MINS LATER

11:47
Mm-hmm
5:17
But yes, that is, it's a dice roll,
5:19
right? 100%.
5:20
You know, I can give a little bit of insights into kind of where my brain's at, because I think you're totally right.
5:28
I think a few things, right? I think to touch on what you were saying, people are busy now.
5:32
I think holding people's attention is getting harder and harder.
5:36
Again, I think that is because of the digital age we live in.
5:40
You know, everyone's on social media.

17 MINS LATER

22:28
and want to be there, kind of think of it a little bit like isn't part of the success of superhero movies, and we can mourn the lack of in the last two years, but isn't a lot of the success of that due to Comic-Con and being able to show up there and have access to, and I feel like we're only scratching the surface of people wanting to have access to what they now view as their favorite entertainers.
