What are some key findings of your research to date?
4:08
Did a really interesting study quite some time ago now on how people make decisions about posting on social media.
4:13
And what we found then, and I'd be interested to know whether it's still true now, is that we could identify basically three reasons for posting and three reasons for participating.
4:21
One was to have really close family relations, so it's just, it's me and my little group of friends, and I am interested in just communicating with them.
4:29
It's like I think about this as your mom.
4:32
And then another group, we laughed, we used to call them the party people, and the party people were the ones who were interested in posting because they wanted to be seen as having a good time and wanting to be the people who were convening a good time.
4:45
And then there were the people who were posting seriously.
