Can, can you talk us through why, why was the state so interested in, in taking this step, in allowing this to be covered through Medicaid?

Jacob RobbinsGUEST
So I think it's really important, like you mentioned, to, to look back and, and see how Washington has handled this issue of long-term care, right? Like, we were very much an outlier starting in the '90s when we started to really do a lot of reforms and change how eldercare was funded through the state.

Jacob RobbinsGUEST
It used to be that most people would use Medicaid to subsidize living in a retirement home or assisted living community, right? But Washington realized in the late '80s and then early '90s that, one, that was really expensive.

So in your piece, you talk to a bunch of local stores about their reactions to this news, these big companies saying that they're not going to produce discs anymore i mean what did you hear from them who did you talk to and what did you hear

Jacob RobbinsGUEST
yeah i i don't think it can be overstated how frustrating the news was coming across to them about what's going on with gta6 um You mentioned it before, but to even drive the point home even more, there's been some additional analysis that's come out that suggests in its first opening week, the game could sell 51 million copies, which would make it the 11th best-selling game of all time.

Jacob RobbinsGUEST
And that's just in its first week, right? And so I spoke to Cody Spencer, who is a part owner in Pink Gorilla.

Jacob RobbinsGUEST
I spoke to Joshua Silas, who opened up Third Emerald, which is a new game store in West Seattle.

Jacob RobbinsGUEST
And I spoke to Harrison Montgomery, who was doing most of his used game sales on Facebook Marketplace, and they just opened a new location.

Do you get a sense that these companies are going to be affected at all by at least some of the grumbling that has been coming out after their announcements?
