10:57
Yeah
10:57
... it's, like, the...
10:58
It's kind of, like, it's not the prime time, so it's, like, reruns, and that's where I watch a lot of it at 'cause I don't have cable TV at my house.
11:05
But, um, I didn't know that you guys were that into guns.
11:09
And so it's been, like, a really interesting experience, like, meeting all you guys and everything else, and it's been a lot of fun.
11:15
We've been shooting a lo- I mean, as far as, like, you know, Georgia Kate, I mean, she's got into, she got into guns a long time ago.
11:21
Like, we shoot a lot at the range.

31 MINS LATER

42:30
Yeah, three of them
JoeHOST
0:22
What are we looking at there?
0:23
Yeah, so kind of one of the, you know, defining strengths we saw this week was inflation is finally starting to bend.
0:29
We'll see if that keeps up.
0:30
But on Wednesday or last Wednesday, we saw the consumer price index showed, uh, a seasonally adjusted increase of just .1% in July, with core CPI being up .2%.
0:43
And so those show annual rates of 3.4% and 2.5% respectively, both down .1 percentage point from June in, in line with forecasts.
0:52
So to recap, you have the overall headline CPI, which is the total number, and then core, which excludes food and energy prices.
0:58
Alongside of that, Thursday we saw the producer price index, so core, right, tracks what the consumer pays and the producer is what the producer would end up paying.
JoeHOST
5:35
I mean, it's fun to talk about, but what are the numbers really telling us? Is that gonna be an opportunity? Maybe we don't know yet.
speaker_0HOST
3:15
Yeah, we want to see it deliver a little bit now and risk tolerance more cautious at this point.
3:20
Yeah, so this kind of, you know, harps back to that first point that we were just talking about, but it's quietly kind of, you know, turning a little cautious.
3:26
So the NASDAQ led Wall Street lower, kind of as a mixed text performance weight on sentiment.
3:31
Communication services fell 1.3%, consumer discretionary down just a tick under a percent, while utilities, right, you know, your classic defensive stocks advanced, you know, 2.3%.
3:41
Investors keep a close watch on kind of some of these renewed Middle East hostilities, which encourage a more defensive approach, you know, despite maybe continued optimism surrounding some of this AI stuff.
3:53
And the damage the former market leadership group runs deeper than one bad week.
3:58
The SOX, which is the semiconductor index, is down about 20% from its June highs.
speaker_0HOST
6:06
Small caps are weathering that
3:09
Mm-hmm.
3:09
And so I, uh, I want to, uh, use my life to, to bring freedom.
3:13
Uh, I also, uh, the short story for me is senior year of high school, my dad was arrested for, um, uh, crimes of abuse.
3:22
Uh, and my mom of, of five children, I have four siblings, uh, was thrown into a really rough world of becoming a single mom overnight and raising five kids.
3:33
And that experience leading into college really, um, drove me to say, "Hey, I'm, I'm going to," in some form or fashion, thought it might be law enforcement, now it's business, "I'm gonna, um, fight bad guys," uh-

23:23
Tell everyone where they can find out more about you and, of course, more about Calyan Wax.
23:27
Calyanwaxco.com. That's C-A-L-Y-A-N, it's in Nancy, waxco.com. That's our handle on all the socials.
23:36
You can follow me on LinkedIn.
BrettHOST
4:23
Is that where you come down on opportunities?
4:25
Yeah.
4:25
so it's four looking things it could be things that have already happened in fact one of these is things have already happened but this event happened what can we see going forward go for it so the harp on that the straight of removes so finally seems to be open we'll finally see if that holds this one has a bit more optimism wrapped around it so really we've seen kind of a massive macro relief valve has opened as crude oil prices plummeted this past week So oil fell to about $70 a barrel from well over $100 at its peak.
4:52
This sharp decline comes from the reopening of that sort of remuse and the new flow and the constant flow of oil.
4:59
If this normalization of these oil flows sustains, this can present a disinflationary effect on the economy.
5:07
And so that could maybe offset some of these inflationary things that we've seen from the tech hikes with Apple and Microsoft and memory, but that's still a wait and see.
5:16
So that's something that could go well long-term.
BrettHOST
8:11
What is the T for this week?
speaker_0HOST
2:43
Okay
2:43
... about a year into that that I kinda found out that I, you know, it wasn't really for me.
2:47
Uh, but I did love it.
2:48
It was a lot of fun.
2:49
Um, but, uh, just, you know, not what I wanted, and that's kinda when I started to take the, uh, the real estate course.
2:55
So I started to take that.
2:56
I had...

speaker_0HOST
18:49
Uh, Jacob, anybody that you, uh, did not thank that you wanna thank now?
48:31
should start a gun right
48:33
yeah that'd be a good one for me um but I absolutely love shooting guns.
48:37
I don't know what it is about.
48:38
It's like, it's just, uh, I don't know if it's, I don't know what it is.
48:44
It was the variety or what, but it's like shooting my bow.
48:48
I love shooting my long bow, but, uh, my compound, I'm just kind of like, yeah, all right.
48:52
It's kind of one of those things where I shoot it.

21 MINS LATER

69:51
i was like that's a good point so i started hunting out of crocs and that that really helped so i'd hunt all the way out of them until my feet started getting cold and i'd carry my boots in with me start and then i put my boots on about 30 minutes into the hunt once that sweat kind of froze onto my skin you know and then i would put the boots on it really kind of started helping because like i
50:27
And i think a reflection on the world we reside in at this very moment and and to imagine this sinister subculture didn't effectively uh metastasize and and you know essentially flee to the states right which i do think many of the original settlers potentially were pagans uh ritualistically practicing this strange form of of uh of uh yeah ideology but i don't believe this this form of satanism is anything new in this luciferian subculture right this is yeah
51:01
and it's almost practiced the exact same way as it always has been um you know there's there's very very definitive um practices that took place back then that are still taking place now.
51:20
We're talking blood magic, chaos magic, symbolism of death and rebirth, the children of rage, and the idea of snuff films.
51:33
At one point in time, snuff was performed in front of a live audience.
51:39
back before cameras were a thing.
51:42
So there's a lot of evidence that this is very, very old behavior.
51:53
for these people and i think a lot of it is because they have access to a well to everything right like once once you're once you're at a certain level there's nobody to tell you no and then so once once you've done all the drugs once you've had all the women or men or whatever it is you know once you've done all the things you eventually start doing the things that you're not supposed to do You're obtaining the things that people are not supposed to obtain.

40 MINS LATER

92:42
So, yeah, I love you all, and I appreciate you both.
19:23
And I thought you were coming to campus to get in this room, and we ironed out some communication misses.
19:29
Mm-hmm.
19:29
Little miscommunication, but that's all rightYep, we're here ... we gotta figure it out.
19:32
We're here.
19:32
And we're both- It's fine.
19:33
We're fine ... gonna get what we wanted, which is- Yeah ... podcasts done.
19:35
Yeah.

24 MINS LATER

43:39
Um- [laughs]
