You were three years old and you had a near-death experience from pertussis or whooping cough.
3:54
Yeah.
3:55
So September of 1993 was when I had my near-death experience.
4:00
And yes, as you mentioned, I had this really severe condition called pertussis, otherwise known as whooping cough.
4:08
At the time, I was not vaccinated, nor did my folks know what I had.
4:13
They sent me to a playground.
4:14
I mean, obviously, had they known that? That I had this, I would have been, you know, sent to a doctor's office or hospital because it's very serious and it could lead to fatalities.

Can you walk us through that and tell us about that?

Windmill, modern air care your room deserves.
1:34
Hello, my name is Jacob Cooper.
1:36
I'd like to take you on a journey with me that began several decades ago.
1:41
It was September of 1993.
1:43
I'd like to share with you profound, incredible, mystical near-death experience that I had that I recall in complete clear detail just the age of three years old.
1:53
I went to the playground and I climbed a ladder onto a slide, and as I began climbing the ladder onto the slide, I began to notice that my breathing become a lot more difficult and even resuscitated when I reached the top of the slide.
2:07
Bear in mind, looking back on it, I had something called whooping cough, otherwise generically known as pertussis, or the other way around.
28:21
... overview and then go into your-
28:23
Absolutely.
28:24
You know, uh, you know, y- you know, in, in biblical Genesis, Jacob had his own proverbial near-death experience where he was, um...
28:31
He had a covenant with his father, and his, and his brother got a degree of jealousy, and he was literally chasing...
28:37
His brother Esau was literally chasing Jacob, and Jacob was fleeing for his life.
28:42
And he, you know, took a pillar of rocks, which isn't too chiropractically sound.
28:47
Um, it wasn't like the Saatva mattress that I use.
33:00
So is there one of those tenets out of your book, Jacob's Ladder, that you would say really applies more so than others today?
2:49
Can you share with our listeners, you know, what you lived through about your near-death experience? Let's, let's start there.
2:56
Hmm.
2:57
Yeah.
2:57
I, I always love talking about this because what's...
3:00
You know, when you have something wonderful and profound, you just wanna take everyone with you to that special place.
3:07
And I think that this place that I experienced, the intrigue of it all, is that a lot of people have memories of this same place, too, on their own journeys.
3:16
Um, and I think memory is a great gift that allows people to explore spirituality and consciousness.
5:50
Can you say more, that sense, the memory at that young age of what it felt s- the sense that stayed with you from that young, young age?
4:34
He was nine months old.
4:36
nine months old and he's able to have language at this.
4:40
Yeah.
4:40
You know, for, for myself, it was, you know, it's, you know, it's very hard to concretize a lot of these things in words, you know, because I'll explain, for instance, light in this planet, uh, It's really based on the colors of the sun, and those are the language that we have.
4:57
And when you're out of this physical realm, it's very hard to have descriptive language to it.
5:02
But the best way you could describe it is imagine the most climactical, highest euphoric moment that you had in your lifetime is like a billion.
5:11
You know, that's what I felt.
9:11
Is that right?
