I want you to reflect on the same goals by the Socialist Alliance, but with special focus on refugees and education, because you mentioned that refugees' rights, what prompted you to being active in public life, but also you are a member of of the industry in education.
19:08
Yeah, well, I mean, probably one of the most, I guess one of the kind of important kind of issues that's kind of running in the background of this election.
19:15
I mean, there's one kind of interconnected issue here, which is the fact that, you know, under successive kind of state governments, people have felt their kind of living standards is increasingly declining.
19:28
Like, for example, we are worse off in 2026 than we were in 2019.
19:32
And Things even like basic things like housing, essential goods, were much more affordable back in 2019 compared to 2026.
19:47
And through that, we are seeing the rise of parties like One Nation who are pointing out that things aren't so good.
19:56
They're making this argument.
22:02
What's your vision of addressing education-related crisis or problems in the state government if you are elected?

I want to thank the hosts of the Eco-Socialism Conference, Green Left, Socialist Alliance, Links and Resistance Books, and I'll pass over to Jacob to start us off.
1:48
All right, so thanks comrades for, I think one's a really kind of important discussion.
1:55
In fact, artificial intelligence is one of the big kind of issues in politics right now.
2:02
There's quite a lot to say about it.
2:04
And my talk won't necessarily cover all the kind of aspects in fact over the course of writing this talk i also found there's also a number of books that have been published about it that i have also not gotten around to read yet but safe to say there is a lot of discussion about artificial intelligence and i guess green left and social science has been proud to host critical discussions like this we have had discussions going back to the ecosocial conference in 2023 we also had a session on this topic in 2024 Of course, even around then, I didn't suspect, I wouldn't have even suspected this, that there would be big, massive campaigns against mega data centres being built around Australia.
2:52
And of course, I know in the United States, I'm sure Marty will talk about there are big campaigns in the United States against these data centres, and in fact, have kind of underpinned some of the, more progressive Democrat victories, for example.
3:09
And so clearly this is a big issue that a lot of working class people are mobilizing around.
