Prepare to adapt, innovate, and lead, ensuring your role as a catalyst in this transformative era.
0:30
I'm Jacqueline Schominger, and I am your success strategist.
0:34
And I wanna talk to you today, really, every single company has a CEO, right? Now, the question is, how do you define those letters, CEO? Some people can say a chief executive officer, which is a great way to look at it, but I also like to think it's the person who connects, engages, and offers.
0:59
The CEO is the person who makes decisions, the person who has resources, establishes pace, responsibility for results.
1:12
And here's my question to you, are you doing that for your life? Are you doing it for your life? Because it sounds like an easy question, right? But sometimes we are just not answering it the right way.
1:36
Are you taking charge of your life or are you living by expectations, schedules, opportunities, obligations? Being the CEO of your life means making a deliberate shift of everything that you go through, the way you start your day.
2:01
You heard some amazing speakers today talk about the way you start your day.

What's the difference?
8:41
So, So I always like to ask, I always like to say this.
8:45
So what happens right now on a lot of times on LinkedIn, you, you connect with somebody and you, or they connect with you and you read their little information about them and you think to yourself, Oh, here it comes.
9:02
I'm going to connect with them.
9:04
And I, immediately I'm going to get hit with a pitch about why I need their services or they're going to ask me.
9:12
So if I could help you, and we all cringe, right? Or you go to a networking event and somebody meets you and you're passing out business cards.
9:22
And what is the first thing people say? It's like, hi, my name is Jacqueline.

13:18
So what kept happening in people's lives that convinced you all these frameworks needed to exist at once?
7:51
Mm-hmm.
7:52
So again, that insecurity spread out.
7:54
I had a big nose, I had cross eyes, and I was...
7:57
So nose got changed when I was 16.
8:00
I had two surgeries.
8:00
I still like to another, do, do another one, but I'm not gonna go there.
8:03
Um, and my eye was crossed when I was a kid, and then I had surgery when I was six, and then my right eye got, um, weaker and so that became a lazy eye, and then I didn't have that surgery until I was 25.

So,
5:27
and so all of that comes down to really being aligned with either the company that you're with and the leaders understanding that, That they need to share the vision and being aligned with the passion for the company and helping the people that are on their team being aligned with the company's vision and the employee's vision.
5:53
Leadership is about leading people on a path to a journey of greatness, right? And unfortunately, so many leaders don't necessarily think about developing the people on their team and helping them grow to be successful.
6:15
something, you know, beyond themselves.
6:17
And that's where, you know, alignment comes in and being able to understand that, that we, that we, that we are really truly here to lift other people up and that's, and, and yes, grow the company and, and, and make success.
6:40
But you can't do that if you're not aligned with, in the first place.
6:45
You just can't.

14:12
get that? Yeah.
6:01
If people have e- extreme opposite values, it's gonna create a disconnect Unless you know what those values are and are applying them yourself, um, it becomes very difficult to apply them to your company and to recognize what other people's values are.
6:16
And, and to that, you know, when people are aligned, you know, it's amazing when people, when you see the companies that have that alignment and the growth that just happens.
6:23
Because the, the cohesiveness of the team is just remarkable.
6:29
And, you know, talk about action items is really if, if, if you as a leader have not sat down and really looked at your values that really, that you inhibit yourself and that you want your company to have, right now, when you, after you're done listening to this, go and take a piece of paper and write down your top five values.
6:50
Really be clear on those values, and be clear on where you want to go personally and professionally.
6:56
And it also is important for your team.
6:59
You know, each, each team, I hate the word manager, but leader, you know, they're the CEO of their team, needs to do the same thing.
9:21
Did you wanna take-
