So we weren't aware of this information.

So my grandfather went to trial, and basically they were able to give him three life sentences because he didn't really have a defense.

He didn't know what was going on with this whole situation.

My father and my uncle were also facing life sentences, um, due to this so-called war that was going on in the street.

But the difference with them is during the time of my grandfather's conviction and the time of their trial, they were able to use investigators and stuff to kind of find out some of the information that was going on.

Greg Scarpa ended up getting AIDS, and he went to a judge and was trying to, um, get more time taken off of his sentencing, 'cause he was out killing people.

On a side note, though, I know that people are thinking, "Well, whatever happened to your uncle and your father? Did they remain out of prison? How did their lives go when they were given the chance that ev- that they were acquitted?"
