So chronic is what it sounds like, you know, kind of the plain English definition, something that is persisting, longstanding, you know, recurring.

So our main approach here was to do a nationally generalizable survey of school districts.

And on that survey, we asked about a whole range of facilities issues.

We asked each respondent to tell us whether that was an isolated incident or a chronic incident.

So by far the most common chronic issues were water intrusion and excessive temperatures, you know, excessive heat or excessive cold in classrooms.
