Why did you want to make like a solo journaling game? Like what about solo games kind of inspired you to make stuff like Corico and Artifact?

Yeah, I guess...

It started with a very practical kind of concern, which was I had my first kid in 2018 and my second one in 2020.

And really, the amount of time I had available to play games in person with my friends went dramatically downhill.

And that's when I started playing a lot of solo games.

I think Takuma Okada's Alone games.

I think you saw those.

Is Ghibli like a big inspiration for you? And if yes, why does it inspire you?

Like, are you, are you looking at it like, "Oh, I'm ready to..." Are you, like, licking your chops to get out there and show them what you got?

Yeah, I'm excited to be back.

I started my career here in, in New York, so the two years I played were...

I, I look back now and they were the best two years of my career so far.

Um, going over there is, is, you know, what you'd expect.

The Premier League, there's promotion, relegation, there's a lot of pressure and, and, you know, that's why the, the, the best players in the world, they play there.

It was-- I enjoyed my time there, it was incredible, but I'm definitely excited to be back in the MLS.

How much has the league changed in those 10 years? How much more competitive is it in the MLS than what it was when you were back there?
