How did this reporting come together?
28:25
There hasn't been a lot of information, you know, coming out of, you know, from what's going on on the ground in the Middle East, and we wanted to understand more how this war was impacting the soldiers, uh, overseas.

We had heard about this strike, but there hadn't been a lot of public information.

Uh, there hadn't been a lot of public information about the soldiers that had been injured.

I saw that, you know, here and there, there were local news articles about injured soldiers who were returning.
28:57
It didn't necessarily always get into the, you know, details of what they experienced, more just, you know, that they were, that they were coming home and had suffered injuries.
29:06
So we started by reaching out to anyone whose name showed up in relation to that, and then most people still didn't want to talk, but a few did, and, you know, from those sort of conversations you learn more about who you should reach out to.

What else did the families tell you about them?
