Yeah, I left university with a degree in aerospace engineering and a doctorate in material science and then started my career at Rolls-Royce in the UK in Derby, initially as a material scientist.

a materials technologist working in the Rolls-Royce submarines business, but then quite quickly moved into additive manufacturing.

And I've been pretty much hooked on it ever since.
