What have been some of the, the biggest lessons that you've learned or tips that you've been able to pick up on so that you can improve your shooting?

Jaap BoltGUEST
So for the technical parts, um, the biggest, the biggest one, the biggest change that I've made, and the most important, is definitely, uh, having a solid anchor, and from there finishing your shot instead of just snap shooting.

Jaap BoltGUEST
'Cause I, yeah, I've done that for 13 years and for [laughs] a million arrows, but, um, during competitions that often fell apart.

Jaap BoltGUEST
And, um, and I have to say, we, we also went to European, uh, bow hunting championships, which is 3D, but it's, uh, yeah, it's a, yeah, it's a European competition.

Jaap BoltGUEST
And most of the time the Germans, the, the Austri- Austrians, and the, and Swiss, uh, were winning those with the, in the primitive bow class, and the winners, the, the really great, m- almost none of them were snap shooters.

Jaap BoltGUEST
Uh, pretty much all of them had a solid anchor and then went, yeah, could, could aim at the target for a couple of seconds and then finish that shot.

And so with that practice mindset, does that take away the pressure of performing?
