Or at least some takeaways.
14:55
Yeah, definitely they have.
14:57
Like both in terms of like the cats in Cats Protection's care and maybe how we can be working better with vets to ensure that they're getting kind of the appropriate treatment that they need as kind of unowned cats.
15:07
But also, yeah, I mean, I think a lot of the advocacy, external facing... staff our media team I think they think that having a veterinary spokesperson for the charity will really build credibility as well for the organisation so and we have obviously got other vets who are more senior than me that already do a lot but it's really promoting veterinary professionals as experts in cat welfare.
15:34
We've spoken to Joanna and your CEO colleague, John, earlier, Izzy, but if there was one thing that you could do as a vet, and having seen the welfare of cats through two different lenses, what would you like to see change today? What's the most important, pressing thing that we can do for our feline population right now?
15:58
I think having been at Cats Protection three months, the thing that's really coming through strongly for me, and I know that vets and veterinary teams across the UK will really resonate with, is at the moment, cats and cats breeding isn't necessarily within the animal welfare strategy.
16:13
You often are the one left to pick up the pieces of questionable breeding practices when you get people bringing in kittens that are weeks younger than they said they were, got loads of health problems.
16:22
So I think for me, in the setting we're in, I would love to see that tightening of regulation of cat breeding.
