Why do you think real warning signs tend to get missed in that window?
1:40
Yeah, I think it's probably a combination of both women dismissing note like bodily changes as pregnancy, postpartum, et cetera, changes and dismissal by the healthcare system.
1:57
When you are pregnant or postpartum, your body is changing literally every day.
2:03
Like all of a sudden, like for example, one day I had like size nine feet and then the next day I had like size 11 feet and my feet like were so big and swollen.
2:14
And I was like, okay, well I guess it's just the size two I am for the rest of my pregnancy.
2:17
But It's compounded by the fact that women can be and often are dismissed by health care providers for symptoms that they bring up.
2:27
And it's not even specific to just breast cancer changes and breast changes.
6:37
How does having young children factor into your treatment? And what kind of support do you have around you for that?
7:09
So walk us through that and why that response, why the way they responded was so important.
7:16
Definitely.
7:17
And I recognize in talking to other breast cancer survivors, patients, that my experience isn't always common, which is frustrating.
7:29
And I totally understand that.
7:32
I have just felt so taken care of by my care team throughout all of it.
7:35
But I was 20 something, like 25 weeks pregnant or whatever, when I noticed a lump in my left breast and I When you're second, third trimester pregnant, you feel like you're going to the OB every week, every other week.
7:51
I noticed it.
