Why is it important, um, in terms of education and networking across the world?
6:21
One of the main goals of EPOS is to promote education.
6:25
So at the ways that, that we have, have to do this is to, to share knowledge and expertise, uh, in the pediatric orthopedics.
6:33
We do intend to create, uh, networking to, to share all cultural and, um, similarities and, and differences and actually to, to, to foster collaboration between different surgeons and, uh, and, uh, different institutions.
6:48
So in the end, the idea is to increase the, the visibility of, of EPOS as the fellows they do are elected or they are selected, qualified, uh, young members, um, that have the responsibility, the final responsibility to represent EPOS, uh, actually as their ambassador.
7:11
I just want to go back, rewind a little bit because, uh, this program started in 2001 in Europe, uh, with the first three fellows, uh, visiting four institutions between Belgium and France.
7:25
Then the first, uh, Traveling Fellowship that, um, went from EPOS to Poznań, uh, it started in, uh, uh, 2003.
8:34
Uh, I, I wanted to ask, uh, Ines, about the structure of the fellowship and where, how, you know, how-- when do you decide how many centers are visited? Is it two or three? Is it always combined with, uh, the annual meeting in that respective, uh, society?
