Because when we were doing some of the surveys, when we were preparing for this, we did find that many parents feel apologetic.

They feel like they're imposing and they somehow, you know, they feel a sense of responsibility and they feel like they're letting the team down.

But actually, if you think about it, family is important and you need time off, then you should take the time off.

So when will parents actually start seeing the money, Minister? And who will be eligible?

Okay, well, let me deal with eligibility first.

So all families with a Singapore Citizen child aged 17 or below will benefit from the new package.

And what you get really depends on what age your child is.

And children born in 2026 will benefit from the full package with all its components.

Then the children who are born before 2026, right, but who are currently still receiving the baby bonus cash payments, cash gift payments that was under the old scheme.

That means babies born from 14th February 2023 to 31st December 2025, they will receive a top up so that their total baby gift comes to $10,000.

How is the work group really addressing this workplace culture? So parents really feel supported to take the leave that they are entitled to, while employers at the same time are also able to, you know, manage the impact.
