I'm guessing that's when you kind of got involved with Ultimate as well?

Yeah, lots of people my age...

I started playing at university levels.

Nowadays, we're more into high schools, so that's where lots of kids pick it up.

But I was introduced by what I imagine most people around the world are, traveling Canadians or traveling Americans, bringing the sport with them.

So they taught us how to play and gave us a rudimentary knowledge of the rules.

And then, yeah, we managed to find some more players who have been playing for a while in Auckland.

How many countries took part? How did we do?

So as you were writing the book, can you tell us a time that you found one of these problems really interesting?

No, th- they're all interesting, but some are, some i- some are...

It's, it's like Animal Farm.

Some are more interesting than others.

I, I don't work in an area which I find absolutely fascinating, which is mathematically we called it minimal surfaces.

And you're asking questions like, what's the best possible version of this? What's the tightest bound? And what's the strongest theorem? So why isn't solving a problem enough?
