Ian, what are your NFU members saying to you at the minute? What are their big pain points? Obviously, we've got blue tongue, we've got drought, but what are your members' pain
20:51
points? two of the big ones.
20:54
Bluetongue is a little bit, at the moment, I'm coming from the southwest where we farm.
21:00
It's been intense since the beginning of August.
21:04
It's been quite horrible, really, for some dairy farmers, but predominantly for sheep farmers, they've had a rough time.
21:11
We're seeing it spread now with the help of the new DEFRA heat map.
21:15
We're seeing it spread northwards and it's got up to here where we are, Shropshire.

6 MINS LATER

How do we take this forward, drive this on? Because it's really important this doesn't just sit on the shelf and gather dust.

But what were the symptoms in your herd? And what is your message to those dairy farmers weighing up the vaccine right now?
6:31
OK, so I've got two messages, really two important ones.
6:35
And that's what's going to happen if you're vaccinated and what's going to happen if you're unvaccinated.
6:40
So we vaccinated last year in August.
6:43
We had the initial dose and then we had the secondary dose.
6:48
We had a couple of unplanned terminations around that time, but we're not entirely sure if that was a result of the vaccine or whether it may have been other issues in the herd.
6:57
So everything was fine, really.

I know when I spoke to Tom about it, the NFU president, he said that, you know, talks are ongoing, but do you feel like that is something that the government need to offer right now?
