I asked Ian to share one of his hardest-earned lessons with us.

I'm Ian Clarke from Nucleus Mining Logistics.

My big lesson for other business owners is that speed must never replace proper checks.

We move too quickly to please a customer and trusted the wrong commodity traders.

The loss was a major setback.

However, the lesson stayed with us.

When an opportunity is new or urgent, slow down, do the proper due diligence and protect the business before you say yes.

Uh, for instance, he, uh, loves, uh, Ricky Nelson, and Ricky NelsonWas one of those guys that really did battle, uh, for respect, and Dylan said, "No, he's the real thing." Dylan, uh, is, is a kind of a c- I could- k- kind of controversial sometimes.

But yeah, uh, famously, John Lennon said, "Before Elvis, there was nothing.

Nothing." And it was true.

It was just guys playing washboard stuff and country music.

Elvis was one of the gods.

[laughs]

Yeah, he, he turned into this joke.
