... um, and kind of its purpose.

So, um, so just kind of rewinding a bit, uh, at, at Scots we, um, had, uh, a lot of real strength in our approach to, um, approach to human formation and working with boys over 130 years, um, and, um, a real sense of a, a, a quest for excellence, a desire to do things, um, distinctly and differently.

Um, and one of the things that kind of troubled us was how when you are operating in a, in the standard operating model of school, um, it, it can be really hard, despite our best efforts and huge amounts of energy, it can be really hard to, um, to, to achieve the ends that we want.

So it's really hard to form really strong relationships, um, with, um, students in between them when they're, at least in high school, they're bouncing around every 50 minutes between, you know, 10, 15 different teachers.

Um, it can be really hard to develop, uh, an ethic of excellence and a love for beautiful work when-

Um, can you talk me through a little of what, um, what led you to that decision and how you, how you happened to be there and what the, I guess, the community there has meant to you and your family?
