Um, so in 2021, China announced that it completed its national security strategy for 2021 through 2025.

Uh, it didn't publish the strategy, but it did then offer a five-point slogan, the 五个坚持, uh, to help party cadres kind of grasp the key points for how to implement the national security strategy.

So we don't have the text, but we do have what it's supposed to do, which I think is just as good.

Uh, one of these points, uh, point number four, was to persist in total war, taking an integrated approach to traditional and non-traditional security.

And then we see this trickle down, the, the total war concept.

We, it, it trickles down from the national security strategy to the national military strategy.

What's Xi Jinping trying to achieve? Uh, you know, i- is this corruption? Is this, uh, you know, factional infighting between the Fujian guys, the Shaanxi guys, uh, or something else? Or is this, uh, Xi Jinping exerting control heading into the 21st Party Congress?
