How's it actually landing in the market? What is the mood out there surrounding the federal budget?

The reaction has been strong and it's certainly been mixed as well.

It's obviously inherently linked to individual circumstance, life stage, and I guess an ingrained understanding of how the property market has functioned in the past.

But there does seem to be a sense of, I suppose, cautious optimism among folks.

first home buyers, prospective first home buyers, this sense of relief that perhaps something tangible is actually being done that can help smooth that path towards home ownership.

On the flip side, however, there are a lot of concerns among investors and also just more widely across the property industry.

And I think What really stands out to me is how emotionally charged those responses have been.

I would love to know what the media reaction has been because from the headlines that I've seen, they actually feel pretty punchy.
