How are you going to make that happen?

I think we have to look to the complete picture.

Canada already has a strong industrial base with capable companies, shipyards, university and research institutions.

Our ambition is to bring these different partners together and help develop a strong Canadian submarine ecosystem.

We are not simply looking for Canadian companies to become suppliers.

We want them to become an integral part of the program with clear responsibilities and opportunities to develop their own capabilities.

And of course, the scale of the program will play an important role.

And looking ahead 10, 20, or even 30 years, what would success look like for TKMS Canada and its industrial partners? And how could the CPSB become a model for a truly integrated Canadian-European defense partnership?
