I joined the military, um, and shortly after I had joined the military, I got a phone call from my wife's grandfather, Rabbi Shmuelu.

Back in 1964, um, it, it came to him a incredibly unique opportunity, a, a shlichus from, from the Rebbe, um, to go to Greenland and serve the Jewish military and civilian personnel that were there in Greenland, um, over, over the high holiday period.

And he said, "You know, this- it would be incredible if you can figure out a way to get back to Greenland."

[chuckles] So start off by telling us, how does a Jewish, a, a great Jewish boy find himself in the US Army as a chaplain?

That's a phenomenal question.

Um, so I live here in Cincinnati, uh, grew up here.

Uh, my parents are the shluchim here in Cincinnati.
