Does that come with experience and miles on the clock and knowing that, yeah, if you are gonna go back in, you've gotta do the f- the basics with your club first and foremost?

Yeah, I think so, but I think over my career I've had a couple of, of opportunities to do it anyway and practice it.

Like, there's, it's not always been plain sailing.

I've been left out of the World Cup in '23 and things and, um, had to come back and sort of fight your way back in.

Um, uh, so I guess I've a bit of pra- had a bit of practice at it, which has maybe helped.

But I think, yeah, like I say, the only thing you can l- you can worry about is what you can do, what you c- what you have control over, and that's how well you train each day, how well you play, how, how well you integrate with the boys, how much, I guess, how much of a team player you are, I, I think is, has a big part of this environment.

Um, so yeah, I feel like I've, I feel like I've done that.

I mean, how do you move those guys out the way once they're on? So rather than you saying, "Oh, it, it's hard," h- do you have to then think, "Right, how does, how do England manipulate their attack to get quicker ball?"

Slady, with all the bad blood and all the chat about that and the history between the clubs, did that, did that play a factor at all in the week, or was it just business as usual?

Uh, it did a little bit.

Um, obviously there's, there's history between the two clubs, and yeah, I guess it...

I, I, I know a lot of the players playing haven't, weren't involved in any of that, um, and have been here less, less time than, than when that went on.

But still, I think there's enough people around the club and in the club to, and all the supporters know, um, how much it means to, to beat, to beat those guys.

Um, and yeah, I think just, uh, to, to have it in the way it was with everything on the line last day of the season, yeah, it was really good to, to get the win, especially in front of our, our fans.

But how high would this rank in terms of you of how proud to be an Exeter Chiefs player?

Yeah, it would be, it'd be right up there, if not the highest.

So what is the art of running that shape really well between those two, Max and Ollie?

Um, well, I think, uh, well, Bath do, do it very well, and I think what, what the, what you're trying to do as the 12 or the ballplayer and, and, uh, that would be Max in this, this, uh, scenario is, I think there's a, there's a sweet spot between how wide you are and how tight you are.

You, you don't want to be too wide that there's a lot, lot of ball, ball in air time.

Defense can rush you, um, and they can ac- they can actually shift on the pass, whereas if you're too tight, then you don't cut out enough defenders.

So I think the, the sweet spot on that is, is, is important.

Um, Max is really, is really good at, um, his obviously play- ball playing out the line.

Um, I think we couple that with the threat Ollie brings, um, with his ball carry is, is a really good combination, um, because you've obviously got to respect Max will look out the backPlay front door.

Like, what's ch- what's changed at Chiefs in a, in the space of a season?
