5:07
I think we both really liked that car.
5:08
Yeah.
5:08
Really, really liked it.
5:09
And it just feels like in this age of, you know, restomods everywhere, here's Morgan creating these cars that seem to tap into that, but without them being stupidly limited number.

15 MINS LATER

20:03
Yeah.
20:03
So that was, um, yeah, it, it was quite the sort of chalk and cheese with the Lotus 211 [laughs] sake of, um, sort of from all sorts of reasons.
20:12
But, and then it, I remember driving it, but I had to take it back to where, um, TGR were, were based and about half a mile from home in rush hour, uh, on the morning I was taking it back, it proceeded to, um, break.
20:29
So I think an upright, rear upright went.
18:25
[laughs]
18:26
So it was horrendous.
18:27
And then but it did do...
18:29
So we kept looking and thinking, "I'm gonna have to fill it up.
18:31
S-surely I'm gonna be going to a different..." But now we're hours in the car every day.
18:34
I literally didn't fill it up until I got back to the airport, kind of, and then topped, filled the tank up and handed it back, and that was it.
18:41
And I, yeah, it was...

43 MINS LATER

62:12
Yeah
10:29
Do you think you have the best job in the automotive industry or under that realm of journalism?
10:34
Wow.
10:36
Yeah, I mean, it definitely must be up there.
10:39
If I didn't, maybe I'd be looking at a job elsewhere.
10:41
So, no, I definitely feel very lucky to have the job I have because I'm still essentially... i'm driving the cars that i want to drive you know again the fact i do so few films relatively speaking means that i can be very choosy and it's always nice making a film about a car you're enthusiastic about and can generally say nice things about rather than go well you know it's kind of here's another yeah um so it's um yeah i feel very lucky and i still get to work with evo as well sort of on the on the side which is lovely because that still feels like home to some extent because that's obviously where i started so Yeah.
11:18
And Haggerty's been great.
11:21
Matt and Ben over in the US who I deal with because they look after the YouTube channel.

Terms apply.
12:20
Yeah
12:21
...
12:21
in, in Italy.
12:22
Um, obviously there's Targa Florio and stuff like that.
12:24
But sort of going somewhere like that I think really adds to- ... a trip sort of, you know, we all talk about stopping at Reams on the way down.
12:33
Um, but it's special.
12:35
It's really special, and it, it, it adds something over and above, um, the, the drive.
17:37
Oh, it's-
20:59
Yep
20:59
... kind of open gated manual, but you, you couldn't be in anything.
21:02
And they haven't done, they've been pretty restrained in a lot of respects.
21:06
They've really tried to keep the Ferrari 355 DNA in there.
21:10
You know, the engine, you look at it, well, it's 10% more power and torque.
21:13
They haven't given it, they haven't gotten total automobility and sort of given it turbochargers and, and made it something it wasn't.
21:20
So they've been very considered in terms of keeping it analog and, and, and not giving it huge amounts of power and keeping it that sort of, you know, wonderful naturally aspirated engine, so it sounds terrific.

16 MINS LATER

37:54
Yeah.
81:23
How have you found that transition? Because obviously you've, you've more than dominated the, uh, the digital sphere.
81:28
Um, it was, it was definitely tricky.
81:31
It was, it was, um ...
81:32
Um, I think my parents, uh, thought I wouldn't have a hope doing that because, uh, I, I tend to sort of mumble and talk quite quietly in real life.
81:41
Um, but it was, it was sort of a, a sense of I was too young at the time when everyone was predicting the death of print magazines, which thankfully hasn't come about because I still remember writing for Evo.
81:54
Um, but i- it was one of those things, I just didn't want my career to end, so I sort of had to adapt and was ...
82:02
I liked, I liked Vade right, um, and I liked the output.
82:28
So I'd really love to know, I'm sure people here would do too, you know, what is it about cars that you love?
2:20
What would younger Henry think of that bio?
2:24
I think he'd be pretty excited.
2:26
I think he'd think I'd done pretty well.
2:32
He'd be delighted that I was writing for Evo when I started out.
2:37
That was my goal.
2:40
That was the...
2:42
You know, sort of the light bulb moment of when a passion for cars, a love of cars, turned into sort of that, hang on a minute, I could do this for a job.

24 MINS LATER

26:46
Yeah.
