Why was now the right time for you and Daniel to take a bigger role?

Well, I think there's, there's two things.

Uh, number one, like you said, we, we retired 2018, stepped away for two, three years almost.

Uh, got back into it slowly, uh, with a little bit o- of an advisory role to management at the time, and then Patrick stepped in.

Uh, and when he took over, we, we had kind of somewhat looked at being closer to, to the team.

So, uh, being on the ice, helping out with the development, uh, the younger guys, uh, and also be a bridge between Abbotsford and, and Canucks.

So we, we spent a lot of time with both teams.

What do you remember about early in, in your careers learning those lessons? Like, when did you first start to see the value in, in that mentality?

We were drafted in 1999 and played 17 unforgettable seasons alongside some of our best friends, teammates, and staff.

Uh, as presidents, how can you affect the culture to get it to a point where it needs to be and sustainability?
