Um, but in order to proceed, in order to move on, in order to grow, in your opinion and in your experience actually more than anything, does it always have to be connected to some sort of discomfort?
28:37
Um, I, I [laughs] I mean, obviously us two, we've, we've discussed that multiple times in the past as well, and I mean, w- I, I came up with a blank yes because, um, I don't see discomfort as negative or as harmful in a way.
29:03
Um, I feel like discomfort is part of growing, and discomfort is also necessary if you wanna do something that hasn't been done.

Like, I have the, like in my experience working with not just endurance athletes but maybe, like, athletes in any kind, you'll always face something you maybe if you had the chance to choose, you would have not chosen, but you, you, you're confronted with it.
29:30
You're exposed to it.
29:32
And sometimes being exposed to something doesn't always feel comfortable.
29:36
Sometimes it feels uncomfortable.

How do we not fall into the trap of always needing discomfort because we think that's the one thing that will make us progress? You know, the old thinking, "Okay, I have to pay into the pain bank today in order to be a better athlete." Like, how do we find the balance between letting go and being in the state to overcome discomfort, but not artificially creating it thinking that's what we need to get better?
