We caught up with Hendrik from his office in Lisbon, Portugal, and we kicked off our conversation around the state of maritime decarbonization and what's taking deployment so long.

So the IMO, which is the UN body for the maritime space, had actually agreed to in- start introducing...

Well, they have agreed, you know, kind of net zero targets by 2050, just like many other industries, and they had agreed also with, to, for this year, for an actual, uh, carbon tax to come into, uh, into play.

Unfortunately, the Trump administration has, you know, blocked that last year.

They, uh, I think they even went so far as to go after the, like, personally attack some of the diplomats from other countries or threaten them to block this.

But the industry as a whole still kind of believes in it 'cause there's these huge shipping companies, uh, many of them are from Asia and Europe, and they have a long-term horizon because they're, you know, it's, these businesses are huge.

The infrastructure and the vessels, the investments they have to make are multi-decade.

So what specific problems are you seeing in the market that made this type of platform and fund necessary?
