The Canadian Association Chiefs of Police is concerned about the rigid application of the current timeframes set out in Jordan.

We submit that a purposeful approach of the exceptional circumstance in complex cases take into consideration a holistic view of the file, including the investigation.

This, we argue, will serve the interests of justice in the balancing of charter interests.

Project O'Skyfall, as you have heard from the appellant, was a resource-intensive investigation spanning two years conducted by two major police agencies.

It consisted of 150 judicial authorizations, two Part VI wiretap authorizations, more than 3,000 surveillance photos, videos, and reports, 85 video intercept reports and over 70 gigabytes of data.
