So, um, I'm gonna talk about splitting.

And splitting on a, on a very surface level is a defense that helps people to organize their experiences in a very simple, simple and polarized way.

So, um, when I was thinking about splitting, I think in a lot of cases, like young children learn this as a defense and as a way to organize the world and organize their understanding of how their, maybe how their family behaves or even how they should react to situations.

So it is a very primitive defense.

Um, it allows people to categorize these like contradictory experiences that they might come in encounter with, um, in order to reduce their anxiety and, um, manage their own internal self-esteem.

So in that way, I could see kind of like some dissociation linkage.
