Explain that part a little bit about what you just said.

Yeah, so human trafficking, if you're watching TikToks or... you know, Instagram reels or things, you're on social media and you hear people get on for likes, follows and views and they are in this stressful situation at the Target parking lot and they get in their car and they say they almost got human trafficked.

I'm sure you've seen these TikToks and they're talking about some zip tie or a sticker on their car door or their window or someone left like a dollar bill on the ground next to their car door and they're calling it human trafficking.

That is not human trafficking.

That is a whole other.

You might be being set up for a robbery or something else.

But human trafficking is actually two crimes.

What are some tips that women should pay attention to and be more aware of now that you kind of want to protect the people out there? What are some tips that you can think of for everyday life?

Tell me about your other component of your training for undercover for female officers.

Yeah.

So my first mission, like I said, was community awareness about sex trafficking, what it is.

And then my other mission in my business is law enforcement training.

And so when I first started working this crime, and I did female undercover work, it was one of those where they grabbed girls from patrol to do a temporary, let's work the streets for a night, And we would wear plain clothes and we would be out on the street posing as a prostituted person.

And so my first experience with that was a hotel, not really a hotel operation, but we were based out of a hotel room.

And then the Blade, which is the known area for street prostitution, We were walking that area and buyers would approach us in vehicles and engage in a conversation to solicit a sex act in exchange for money.

Did you see a problem with human trafficking when the border was wide open? Did you see an influx or was it, no, it just kind of remained steady? That was a problem no matter what?

How do you go about navigating being a normal looking lady with all of her teeth in her mouth as opposed to, I'm going to make myself clear here, do they dog you up a little bit to put you out there or does that not even matter? Am I just over reading this thing?

Well, so there is a different dynamic in the area that you happen to be in, of course.

So if it's in, um, like Phoenix has several locations known for street prostitution, they're called blades.

That's the term.

And there's a blade, if you've ever been to Phoenix, called Van Buren.

And that Van Buren blade is like the older area where prostitution in the Phoenix area first started.

And so there's a lot of prostitution going on where the females look...

Yeah, what are the steps that they have these young ladies taking?

So you get to now you're based out of still Arizona and you travel around the whole country training people.

Yeah.

So when I retired in October of 2021, I went over to another law enforcement agency and I was investigating illegal gambling.

I have no idea that then it was a friend of mine that I worked in vice with.

That was my old partner.

That was a sergeant there.

And he said, hey, we have a job for you if you want.
