Was it romantic?

I would say at the very beginning, yes.

Uh, you know, I was kind of taken aback.

You know, he had a lot of friends.

I keep a very close inner circle.

I don't have a ton of friends, but the friends I do have, I've had for decades, and he just knew everyone and he had a very outgoing personality and just w- was a talker and loved to read and just was...

It was very different than kind of how I, I was.

Heather felt a shift.

How much do you think that impacted your career here in Southern California?

Um, I think it did because I was in the pipeline.

UCLA actors were getting agents, and, and, uh, you used to have to, have to audition if you were a theater major.

And if you didn't get cast, you were part of the crew.

You know, you aud- you worked on every production, major production they did.

And I got in one called In the Boom Boom Room by Dave Rabe, and I was a dancer, so that got me an agent.

And then what I learned in film school, I applied to writing and acting, because I, I took a lot of writing classes.

The thing that I struggle with, I think, even now, is the fact that survivor's guilt is very real.

Out of the two of us, I probably had, he probably had more reasons to perhaps maybe come after me.

I didn't wanna miss this chance, so I decided to go with her.

her.We stepped into the forest, and while looking for the right place to set up our tent, we noticed strange signs on the trees as we moved forward.

That's when we met a group of strangers just like us who had come for hiking.

We decided to team up with them.

With their help, we successfully set up the campfire before dark.

While resting, we even planned to watch the sunset from the bridge inside the forest.

We laughed, sharing stories.
