Do you have kind of recommendations for them?

Yeah, for sure.

Hopefully you've already got your hunting spots locked down, but if you haven't, obviously there's still time.

We got all fall.

But personally, some tips I like to do or I use myself, um, I like looking at topography maps, satellite imagery, kind of getting the lay of the land, understanding, you know, what you're looking at on the map.

Try and look for those food sources, pinch points.

And then after that, you know, mark some locations that you wanna go check in person.

What are kind of some of the opportunities there?

Yeah, so this time of year, it is going to be a little difficult to book a campsite, I'll admit that.

However, we do offer more than just campsite-style camping.

So we have what's called primitive camping, and you are able to get a backcountry permit and essentially go backpack on the Northern Highlands State Forest.

And as long as you have that backcountry permit, You're good to just camp kind of wherever you want.

And then we also offer boating campsites.

So I know particularly in my area, up on north of the Rainbow, on the Wisconsin River there, there is a boating campsite out there.

What are some activities maybe hunters are allowed to do on state lands ahead of the hunting season?

And do you see when, um, the crashes do result in someone dying, is there, like, common themes you see with the crashes?

Yeah.

I would like to talk about a few of the factors that we're seeing as common themes.

So one being alcohol.

Um, I know we're in the state of Wisconsin, and everybody loves alcohol.

Um, however, that does seem to be a large common theme.

Um, the DNR says it's been a factor in more than 40% of all U- ATV and UTV fatalities.

Do you see a difference between, um, you know, riders that are on a trail versus on a road in the kinds of crashes?
