What, where were you? What happened? How did this happen?

Oh my goodness.

Well, we opened our first brick and mortar flower craft in 2013, and that was in downtown San Anselmo, still there, same location.

But going back before that, my journey led me to be a gluten-free baker.

Sort of circuitously, I came to baking as a career change in my early 30s, and I had a very different career before this.

And I I was suffering from some chronic health and digestive issues pretty much my whole life.

And I just felt like I'm not getting any younger.

Where does your creativity come from?

Okay, so you decide you want to go into pastry or was it just cooking? Yeah.

It was both.

I found out in about late 1999, early 2000, that I needed to be gluten free.

And this was after dealing with pretty much a lifetime of chronic digestive and kind of gut issues and just really feeling like I was at a point where I wanted to get my health under control.

This was crazy.

I was not getting any younger and it was just trying to, you know, something had to change.

So I started working with this wonderful nutritionist.
