We'd love to know about your background and how you got to be, uh, in your role as editor-in-chief.

I've been in maritime, or covering maritime I should say, for about 15 years now.

I actually came to this industry through, through journalism.

I went to journalism school, and I graduated right around the time the economy was just not doing so great.

[chuckles] So I-- before I actually got my start in my journalism career, I did, um, some odds and ends, and there was this one little publication in the middle of nowhere Illinois that was focused on wind energy and, like, biofuels and things like that.

So that was kind of my in.

You know, I mean, not even, like, newspapers were hiring back at, at that point.

So I'd love to hear kind of as the editor, editor in chief, and kind of somebody who's been covering maritime, you know, first, what, what is the award and, and what sparked you to, to establish this, this award?
