So can you explain to our listeners why this situation happened last year at Royal Melbourne?
23:17
Yeah, no problem, Mark.
23:18
Look, love the passion, you and Nick, about playing in two balls, but, um, the realities are that when we have a, a 65 in ties cut, uh, and we had 74 players make the cut at the, the Australian Open last year, couple that with, um, a TV finish time for the broadcast of 5:00, we simply just don't have enough time, uh, in the day to get it all played in, in two balls.
23:43
And it would mean that we're probably starting play on Saturday and Sunday a little bit after 6:00 in the morning.
23:51
Um, and whilst it's daylight, that does mean that the range is gonna open at 4:00 and the players' lunch is gonna open at 4:00, and, and that's not a really great experience for, for those players out early.
24:02
It's certainly not a great experience for our, our very, um, our very needy volunteers or very worthy volunteers and, and the spectators as well.
25:17
So I'll be cheering for a low cut.
25:19
Yeah.
