How did you get inside the characters and bring that out?

Well, thank you for such lovely words.

Creating characters are the main thing that I love about writing.

And people often ask, are your characters based on real people? And I have a thing, I actually know because part of the joy is making them up.

But I might just take one little aspect from somebody I know or somebody on TV or another character in a book and use that and mix it with a whole load of other aspects and then invent my own things as well.

So my characters are a big mishmash of different things.

But it's one of those strange things about writing.
