So British Fertility Society last month issued new guidance on genetic testing and gamete donation.

So this is pretty hot off the press.

And as well as doing the kind of STI tests and the things for the safety, there are also genetic testings.

But interestingly, there are different sets of genetic testing and also in the US.

So it's been a bit imported.

I think it's been a really big journey and I think it starts from Even before the HFVA, I think that originally when you were looking at all assistive reproduction technologies, doctors and scientists were like, the problem is people can't have a child.

And so the outcome they were looking for was healthy child.

I don't think they, rightly or wrongly, well, wrongly, but I don't think they were thinking of the future life and any of the necessarily ethical questions because I think they were running on the basis that a life is better than no life.

if you've produced a life, like what's the word I'm looking for here? The alternative is the person doesn't exist.

So I think from their perspective, they were like, existence is better than non-existence.

So let's just crack on with that.
